Home Assistant 0.115 got the ability to use variables in automation and scripts. You can declare variables even using templates and use them across the script or automation. It is a very useful and fun feature but at first, I didn’t realize how powerful it is. Today I want to show you an example of how you can use variables as some sort of configuration for automation.
